Cheap Sharp Ink Cartridges
All Sharp inkjet fax machines use a design of inkjet cartridge where the print
head is incorporated into the cartridge. This means that each time you change
the ink cartridge you change the print head for a brand new one as well. While
this has advantages in terms of print quality and reliability it has one big
disadvantage; cost. Print heads are very expensive to manufacture, and each
sharp ink cartridge has one incorporated into it, this makes the cartridges
expensive to buy. The alternative is to buy remanufactured ink cartridges which
can cost up to 50% less than their genuine Sharp ink cartridges.
Remanufactured Sharp ink cartridges are ink cartridges that have been recycled.
There is a big difference between “refilling” and “remanufacturing” ink
cartridges. Refilling ink cartridges as you find many high street stores
offering, is simply drilling a hole and injecting ink into an empty cartridge.
The problem with this is that many ink cartridges have internal parts and
sponges that need to be replaced once the ink cartridge is empty else they dry
out and stop ink from flowing through the cartridge.
Remanufacturing is a lengthy process and as a result produces much more reliable
recycled ink cartridges. The remanufacturing process consists of dismantling
the cartridge, cleaning internals and electrical components, replacing internal
sponges and then refilling and reassembling the cartridge ready for packaging.
Using remanufactured Sharp ink cartridges not only saves you money but it also
helps save the environment, as less cartridges get sent to landfill.
